High & Low Aged Care Facility

The House of St. Hilarion,  143 bed complex formed the first stage of a future 300 bed Master Plan for the Seaton Site.
 

The House of St. Hilarion has been design to accommodate both High and low care facilities on the one site. A purpose-built, 30 bed high dependency dementia wing has been constructed to specifically cater for persons with more acute needs.

Throughout the facility, allied health areas are located to enable dentists, physiotherapists and podiatrists to offer a comprehensive range of services.

The new facility is different to older institutionalised age care service models. The
new design creates an open environment which encourages greater interaction with the wider community. By locating activities areas, dining facilities and lounge facilities adjacent to one
and other, a large Community Centre has been formed, able to facilitate major celebrations, concerts and other communal activities.

Attention has also been placed on the provision of communal facilities. An in-house cinema and multiple communal areas including public café, library and hairdresser are also a fantastic way to provide greater experiences for the residents while also embracing their families, friends and the broader community.

Whilst the house of St Hilarion functions as an aged care facility, all measures have been taken to create a home for the residents which is in keeping with a majority of their heritage.
 

The chapel has been designed to enable regular masses to be celebrated, not only for the residents and their families, but also the wider community.
The great Italian tradition of La Passeggiata, or the evening walk is facilitated through the enclosed internal street. Generous garden areas featuring herb gardens, olive trees and other plants which
bring familiar fragrances and happy memories combine with a traditional piazza which includes al fresco dining areas, BBQs, and a bocce games area. Families are welcome to use these outdoor facilities to cook a barbeque with their loved ones.
